Results from the RLC East:
Greenwich 84 Northampton 16
Colchester 14 Hainault 40
Nothing too unexpected there. Tough opener for Northampton.
Bedford Tigers 12 Coventry Bears 40
Looks like Bedford had a bit more of a challenge this week. |

First 15 minutes of this game was very even and a bit of a tussle. Although Bedford defended out wide well they were undone by something that our coaching team always stress to the players but we don't always execute too well on the field.
Coventry played channels down the middle of the field and ripped Bedford apart, especially in Bedford's 40. Also, all kicks to the Bedford fullback (who we all know is tricky to stop) had 3 chasers following up on the kick.
28-0 at half time, 2 players from Coventry binned and 1 Bedford player sent off with 2 minutes to go.
Oh and Spencer refereed with a 3pm kick off as the original referee got stuck in traffic and did not get there until 4pm. Fortunate for them that our game was called off. |
